Viviane Werneck (or Vivi Werneck) is a journalist specialized in games and technology and has worked in Communications for 20 years. She also works with Public Relations for games.
During her career, Werneck has written for famous gaming magazines in Brazil, such as: EDGE, PlayStation Brasil, EGW and OLD!Gamer. She was also part of the team of one of the first game blogs in Brazil, with all-female authors, called Girls of War.
In addition to working in newsrooms (physical and online), she has given lectures and was also a press officer for the brazilian indie game studio Aiyra.
In 2018, she won the “Prêmio Comunique-se” (considered the “Oscar of journalism” in Brazil) in the Technology category. She is also a veteran in covering gaming events such as Brasil Game Show, BlizzCon and E3.
She has been editor of Computing and Electronics at TechTudo (globo.com) and author for movies and nerd/geek themes (at the former brazilian POP portal). She was also an assistant editor at Tecnoblog. Vivi produces and presents the game podcast called Hit Kill.
